Shut down: Crypto exchanges VS Traditional Banks

broken image

Signature Bank is a full-service commercial bank based in New York City, with locations throughout the New York metropolitan area. They offer a variety of financial services, including commercial lending, deposit accounts, and online banking.

FTX, on the other hand, is a cryptocurrency exchange based in Hong Kong. They specialize in trading digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies, as well as offering futures contracts and other financial derivatives.

How do they differ from each other?

They both shut down!

There are not so much differencies in a finance contest between banks and exchanges. Both of them generate risks for investors.

The only way to be safe in this case is a complete regulation. Banks are already fully regulated by laws, now we need a similar regulation to crypto activities. In UE we are waiting to have MICA. Will MICA resolve problems like accountability in a fully decentralized contest?
